Fairbanks artist Art Cross
has added new prints to his collection of beautiful
pencil sketches of Lance's 2008 "Super Dogs."
Each print captures the personality of the individual
sled dogs, and each is limited, signed and numbered
by the artist and musher - a collectors catch for any
fan! Prints are available in two sizes: 8"x 10"
unmatted. All proceeds go directly to supporting the
Mackey Comeback Kennel.
"Zorro"
Most accomplished dog in the Mackey Kennel with, among other
races, seven Iditarod finishes and four Yukon Quest finishes.
Zorro has been the main stud for over five years. Father
and grandfather to the core of the Mackey team. Zorro was
retired in 2008 due to a snow machine accident during the
2008 All Alaska Sweepstakes. He is the best all around dog
Lance has ever encountered. A proud, magestic dog. This
dog loved to run and always kept the team in line. Zorro
adores Lance as much as Lance him.

boy, who loves to be a working sled dog. Dred has his
eye on future leader positions. Who can resist that handsome
face. A pure gentleman of a sled dog.

A favorite amongst the fans. He even has his very own
"Larry Appreciation Society". Larry has completed
six Iditarods and four Yukon Quest. A main leader since
2005. He is the ONLY dog in history to receive the Golden
Harness Award in both thousand mile races, the Yukon Quest
and the Iditarod. Larry is half brother to "Zorro"

This big guy has five Iditarods
and 4 Yukon Quest under his collar. A main leader and
the speed dog of the Mackey kennel. Hobo is a driver,
very eager to GO, GO GO !
He loves to race but NOT a big fan of training. He is
the brother to another famous Mackey dog, "Lippy".

This wild
red head lives up to the Super Dog status. At three years
old, weighing in at 60 pounds, Pimp has completed both
the 2008 Yukon Quest and the 2008 Iditarod. That's back
to back thousand mile races. He's made
the team on many smaller distance races as well. He's
one solid team dog, with a great career ahead of him.
